Unique Handcrafted Quilts
My grandmother, Nona, made my first quilt and I loved everything about it--the weight of it, the softness of the cotton, the sweet smell. This shop is named in her honor.
I appreciate you being here.

I found this pattern in a local quilt store while I was traveling and was hopeful I could do something really eye-popping with it, and I believe I succeeded. This one came out even better than I had hoped and I super love it! The colors are so bright and the design is simple but still really bold. It has a solid navy blue background and one retro print fabric from which the light blue, green, yellow, and white solids are all pulled. The layers are quilted together in straight lines with colored thread that matches the solids and overlaps each other as the fabrics also overlap. It is made of 100% cotton fabric and natural cotton batting. The backing is a fun blue and green fabric that shares the vibe of the front, while the binding is made of the same print fabric that highlights the front.
The pattern is Cascade by Canuck Quilter Designs.
This is probably the most traditional quilt pattern I make, but I love it! This one is made more modern with the simplicity of the blue-gray starry print fabric and the solid cream fabric, and a simple striped backing. It is made of 100% cotton fabric and natural cotton batting. The layers were quilted together with cream thread in a simple 3-line pattern that I think looks really cool against the simplicity of the pattern. The binding is a corresponding fabric that picks up the cream and blue-gray of the front fabrics, as well as a bit of gold from the backing fabric, and has been hand-sewn on.
Sometimes you just love fabric combos so much that you have to go with a patchwork so that none of them get slighted. This cool nature-inspired quilt is just that for me with a mix of modern fabrics in green, blue, black, white, and grey with an overarching tree theme. I love trees! It is made of 100% cotton fabric and natural cotton batting. The backing is a deep green print, while the binding is a simple solid black fabric that frames it all so beautifully and has been hand-sewn on. I kept the quilting classic with a simple square pattern in a blue thread that blends nicely with the colors.
