With a name like Capri, this one makes me think of sunny striped umbrellas and towels on the Mediterranean coast, but the colors were actually inspired by a cool building I saw in southern Portugal. This bright large throw quilt is comprised of solid fabrics in yellow and white. It is made of 100% cotton fabric and natural cotton batting. The layers were quilted together with a simple pattern in coordinating white and yellow thread that lets the design steal the show. The backing is a tropical beachy print that completes the “Island of Capri” feel that gives the quilt its name. The binding is made of a beautiful blue color found in the backing of the quilt to tie everything together and has been hand-sewn on.
